Hello! I’m Janno, a student writer-director, editor, and documentarian, currently in my graduation term at De La-Salle College of Saint Benilde.

My previous work meditated on personal memory. I often pulled my stories from the nuances of growing up in a Filipino family, reexamining my formative experiences and re-exploring wishes my child self once made. Looking back, I also realized that my films reflect my inner sentiments during the time they were made.

Here’s a short film I made for class that I also made in tribute to a friend who passed away:

I’m almost graduating!

This coming February 2026, I’m directing, producing, and editing a fantasy coming-of-age comedy-drama short film I wrote for my thesis.

This concept, whilst very dear to me, scares me, as it marks the very first time I’m confronting long-buried sentiments about my masculinity and what growing up as a “Filipino man” has meant to me.

I hope you can help me make this dream project (and finally graduate!).
